After a few days in Kingston we set off to the west with “Beachside” through the North Channel on the north of Amherst Island. The winds were up to 30 knots out of the south west make it a rocky ride. Once behind Amherst Island we got a reprieve until we hit the opening at Cressy Point while entering the Bay of Quinte. We traveled around Youngs Point and headed south in Picton Bay to the Picton Harbor Marina where we tied up for the evening. Docking was just as fun as in Kingston with the wind pushing us off the dock until we were able to get a couple lines on then we force our way in.

After settling in we took a bike ride through the town and resupplied the boat. We had lunch at the Acoustic Grill with Beachside and were informed about the evenings music schedule so we returned for the sounds of Chris Bonham-Carter. He was very good and we requested The Unicorn Song from The Irish Rovers which he learned on the spot. It was a great evening and just what we were looking for after running into so many towns that were closed down during our stops.

After a great day it was off to the docks where we met Tom and Susan from on “Mona Lisa”
