Travel Day 52 Trenton

It was an early start for our 35 NM run to Trenton, Ontario for a few days stay at Trent Port Marina.

We were traveling with “Beachside” The wind was a little lighter than yesterday as we ran north up the Long Reach passing a few sailboats before turning south west continuing in the Bay of Quinte all the way to Trenton. we were hit with a strong rain storm so we slowed our speed to time an opening to run into the marina. We got a small gap in the storm and made it into our slip before it started again.

The Trent Port Marina is a huge facility with a great boater clubhouse with big clean private restrooms and showers. There were over 20 loopers in the marina setting up for their runs up the Trent Severn.

We stayed in Trent for a few days taking advantage of the hospitality of the marina. There was a small event at the marina with music and a cash bar on the promenade. We went to dinner with fellow loopers at a nice Italian restaurant Tomasso’s Italian Grille. There was also live music at the Fraser Park located on the Trent River. We had a great bike ride and I was able to exchange a faulty battery for Maria’s bike.

It was a great stay with great friends but it was time to rest up for our next adventure.
